    I know I’m recycling my pictures for referenceC24288D8-811F-423F-9205-ECE3D40A2198.jpgAF33FEA9-FE2A-4F45-A4A5-AB37B9ABD166.jpg 1D7BB3EB-C1A0-4ED6-B7B7-00DD142D36B8.jpg

But I didn’t realize that I could get the TRD 4x4 double cab in a LONG BED. I have a double minded buyers remorse. I think my truck looks sweet stock alough I will lift 3” slighting bigger tires, black rims, magna flow exhaust and black TRD Pro “Toyota “ grill. Whew! BUT I kinda want the 4x4. Why? Yes I love the sport hood scoop look vs regular on the 4x4 ( I know a could change that) but I’m not sure how “off road” worthy this stock truck is. I’m not going in sand. I’m not rock climbing. Not taking the path that says “beware only real trucks from this point on”
And I’m southern Cali snow is rare at best. I have taking in onto dirt road and up hills no problem. Should I just do my upgrades and be happy or buy the 4x4 and use the four wheel drive like maybe 3x a year

Life is short get what you want. It’s always nice to have it an not need it, then to need it and not have it.

If it’s your daily driver you may consider a 2WD for fuel economy and cheaper price.

If it’s a second vehicle driven on weekends then 4WD, IMHO

Ugh. I didn’t know I could get a double cab, long bed 4x4 trd sport! That’s a mouthful. Yes daily driver. Are they more expensive on maintenance. Never owned a 4x4 so it’s kinda of a nieve question. The mpg I believe is only 1or 2 less

2FBE60F0-422A-4DB7-9CC6-C847FDAA958E.jpg I have the same truck and also feel I should have got a 4x4 at times but... I’m happy with what I have. Mines daily drivin and about 60-90 miles a day. Damn construction worker. Does good on trails I go on and can’t complain. Cheers to a SoCal member

If it’s a daily driver in SoCal I would stay with the 2WD. You can go a lot of places off road with the truck.

You could even get a locker for the rear wheels, 2WD rear locker is sweet too.

The only way I'd get a 2WD is if I lived in a concrete jungle and never left. For like another 1-2K I'd get 4x4

Better to have and never use than need and and not have!

You don’t need 4x4 for 3x a year. But it’s up to you. It’s better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.

If you came her asking you’ve most likely already decided that your not happy with what you have and you’ll always be second guessing your purchase. If it doesn’t kill you money wise go trade it in and get what you want.

Doesn’t the trd 2wd come with a rear locker? My 2004 trd 2wd did. Got me out of off road issues when I did get stuck.
Skip the 4x4, you have a nice looking truck.

If you need to hear it, you should get 4x4. Mad street cred. All the ladies love 4x4’s. You’ll never survive without it. Just go trade. In the long run it’s not gonna kill you. You’ll probably have this truck for a long time so why not just get it. You know you want to. :anonymous:

I’m no hardcore wheeler, but I do like to go camping and being in SoCal, there are so many places to go camping or light wheeling, and from my experience, all the cooler stuff is usually accessible with 4wd only. Just my 2 cents
