Im looking to regear my TRD OR at 100K miles. I have 265/75R16 tires. If I go 5.29 would I be over doing it? Does anybody have this set up? I know it might not be too bad in the city, but how is it on the highway?

If you are never going to go bigger then the 32" tire i think 4.88's will work best for you especially on the highway. I have 4.88's on 34" only because 5.29's weren't out when i re geared. The 5.29 guys may tell you different so do ask some of those guys in the thread posted above. Also you can factor in any extra weight you maybe adding bumpers , skids!

Well I have a front and rear bumper, RTT, winch and sliders. I dream of owning a big ole 8" lift with 35's, but I doubt that will happen. Im probably maybe going 33's later. The big reason for wanting to regear is to be able to comfortably drive on the highway.

I think you maybe happy with 4.88's they will keep your RPM's in a much economic range but they may still cause a lag going up hills. With the 5.29's you wont lag much if any but your going to be in a much higher RPM range taking a bigger hit to MPG's

See this is where I get indecisive lol

I should also state that I have the OVTune which has helped a lot, so Im thinking if I throw the 4.88 performance tune plus the 4.88 gears I might be doing really well.

Well, what tire size are you running or want to run? What extra weight are you carrying?

I currently have 4.88's/32's and at highway speeds at 75 MPH I'm right at 2300-2400 RPM. 5.29's are about 300-400 RPM more. I still get lots of shifting with a stiff head wind and in the mountains, if you plan to go bigger lift and tires some day definitely go 5.29's. I'm vftuned now and it has help but haven't found the prefect setup yet.

Probably better off with 4.88s unless you're going to run bigger tires. 32-33 (no weight) 4.88. 33-35+ with weight 5.29.
