Considering a Travel Trailer in the 20 - 24 foot range. Up to 4500 pounds with a tongue weight under 400. Anyone towing something similar now? Long distances? How does the Tacoma handle it? Swaying in high winds? Braking problems?

Problem I see is payload. At 400lb tongue weight, couple adults, you're already nearing max payload. Add in gear and supplies....hope you pack light. Living where I do, traveling to the places I go, I'd go full-size for that set up. Tacoma is a play truck.

You can find out everything you need to know in the towing section. You might also use search for the 3rd generation forum of "3rd gen towing travel trailer".
