Is a ARB air lock a bad idea for a 2wd ?

    Hey guys I've been on this forum for a few months now but I want to know if it's a bad idea on putting a air lock on my 2wd ?

    Welcome to TW! If you have the money and think you'll use it then why not. Id put one on my 2wd if i had nearly 2k laying around to blow. Cant hurt to have it.

    Look at the Tacoma TRD OR Prerunners. Toyota Corporationand the buyers of those trucks think its a great idea. Go for it.

    I personally wouldn't lock 35's, bigger the tires, the bigger the fulcrum to break things.

    I would say that it's a great idea and the best modification that I made to my truck. The ARB uses a stronger design than stock (4-pinion vice 2) and is much more robust. If you go off-road it's really great to have a selectable locker. But if you're not going to use it it's not worth the money.
