I am looking in to getting a new grill for my 2019 taco, the one I am looking at has turn signals installed in the grill, the only con is that I would be giving up my TSS sensor because I can’t find a grill that has turn signals and the TSS sensor. What do you guys think? Have any of you given up your sensor and regretted it?

Yeah that’s something that I don’t want to have to deal with.

My interpretation is you are losing the functionality of TSS in exchange for a redundant cosmetic?

Personally, I like TSS. I would vote against losing it, especially for additional turn signals.

I you want prettier turn signals, look at upgrading your headlights. There's some really good performance-enhancing headlights with very good looking sequential LED signals.

Don’t give up TSS for a grill, that’s sooo 2017.

If you really want turn signals in your grill, couldn’t you just stick a pair of amber LEDs in the grill somewhere, then tap in to the turn signal wires?

I also live in so cal so the opportunity even use adaptive cruise control is almost non existent. Just consider your current situation. Do you use adaptive cruise control daily I wouldn’t do it. I don’t trust it. Id say I drive about 20-30 miles a day and it may turn on once in that commute. I mostly just did the bracket to get the light off my cluster.
Also don’t buy this grill from taco vinyl like I did. I paid $456 for this grill on Etsy. To later find it for about $180 on Amazon.

I also live in so cal and the only time I use it is when I’m going on a trip somewhere and that’s everyone once in a while, might go this direction.

I wouldn't be willing to give up the radar cruise control. Absolutely priceless for long road trips

I personally was thinking about this when I got my truck. In my opinion it wasn't worth it to loose such a nice function for aftermarket aesthetics. I would do everything I could to keep the TSS. I modified my stock grille to make it more appealing to me. Not my favorite but at least everything works.20200724_110844.jpg
FWIW my grille lights could have been modified to work with my turn signals.

Might as well trade down to a 2017 or 2016 if you really want your truck to look cool.

Wouldn't you fail inspection if the sensor was disconnected?

Who would buy a grille that makes you do away with your tss? I'd keep looking.
