Right, but why would it be? If it’s a lemon?

If they are able to resell it (which they can and do) then the warranty still applies. A manufactures warranty cant just be removed.

Thanks for your feedback, I agree about informing ourselves to make educated decisions, I am not an expert in lemon law but looked into it before but of course there is always someone who knows a little helpful extra hence my post lol

One thing I do know is that a single repair attempt can be eligible for it, if it took more than 30 days and most of the requirements are an or, i.e 2 repair attempts, or 30 days in total or etc.

This is what was happening to many people with the diff leak, my truck was at the shop for 24 days for example, but some even waited up to 3 months or more. I wouldn't even consider it as a suggestion if I had not been through or read about the diff leak that many experienced, which overall was a minor "mechanical issue".

If it was a Toyota FACTORY extended warrantee I would say yes. If it was an “aftermarket” warrantee company not a f’n chance. I took a sales job years back for one of these companies. Straight up they have the fine print written to be able to deny every single claim of they need to. With a history of transmission shifting issues as the reason for the buyback (real or people can’t stand the hunting) you might as well use the warantee to light your wood stove.

It says right on their fine print that any vehicle issued a Salvage or similar title is not covered under warranty any longer.

I wouldn't spend 30K on a lemoned Bugatti. If you decide you want out or trade in, no ones going to buy a lemoned car off of you. At these prices you're close to just buying a new one anyway, heck why not just buy certified used?

What was the deal with the howling noise in the door sill? Did your driver's side door whistle when you were driving?

I wouldn't do it, but lots of people probably do. I am sure the trucks are pretty reliable.

Is salvage and buyback title the same thing? If they are, then i stand corrected and wouldnt even consider buying one.

But doesnt salvage mean it has gone through the insurance company?

A guy in my office just bought a 2018 sport for 34k new, so this lemon law truck doesn't sound like you're getting that great of a deal. Although I do agree to the point that there is most likley not any major mechanical issues with the vehicle. at least not any that could not be eaisly fixed.

Or the passenger side, depending on the direction the wind was coming from. Now it doesn't.

The weatherstripping will collapse under extreme wind, either above 75 MPH (learned that on a Texas toll road with an 80 MPH speed limit) or in a strong headwind. When it does, it sounds like a yak in heat as it vibrates in the channel. NOT a pleasant noise. Sliding the aquarium tubing into the weatherstripping prevents it from collapsing in a strong wind.

Yea, but is the bank going to give you 1.9% on a 2 year old lemon law Taco? I am seriously asking because my assumption is the bank is going to bend you over on interest because of the risk. Therefor the new truck will actually cost you less in the long run. I wonder what the lending laws are on Lemons.

Here in Ga dealers do not even consider going below 36k for a regular trd sport/off road. Another buddy of mine who bought a taco last December, the best deal he got was $36.5k on a manual, which apparently wasn't as popular lol

Of course if you have a trade in or connections or let them fuck you with the apr, you can probably get a better deal but in the end is always a numbers game which the dealer keeps switching around.

That's another good point, but apparently the local credit union doesn't differentiate and he is actually paying like half of it right off.

Normally I wouldn't even consider a used taco unless it's an insane deal. I got 0.9 from toyota financial when I bought mine and doing the math, it came out cheaper than a "lesser" used sr5 with more miles lol

Is there a specific listing for "lemon" when purchasing something? Just curious. If not, than it's just a waste of guessing. "Salvaged" from a flood is a whole lot different than a leaking rear diff. deeming it to be a lemon. I just want to know what is the truth about this process.
