I hear ya. The title of the post does say "Stock Trail Edition Wheels" though.

When I saw he said TE I assumed he was talking about TE37XT Mspec as that is what I’m going to be running in -10

My bad I meant that getting to somewhere between 0 and -10 would be ideal as far as the look I’m after. one Day I’ll get some new wheels but for now I’m just working with what I have.

So no one has put spacers on a trail edition. I’m also trying to find out if the .75 bora will work bc the studs go slightly past the spacer. Not sure if the wheel will sit flush. I know some
Factory wheels have divots that will
    Clear the studs.

I've only seen spacers on the trd pro wheels and trd beadlocks; not the trail editions. Similar factory wheel offsets I think though.

Hey just wanted to bump this thread to see if any updates. I have a 22’ Trail Edition with stock bronze wheels w/ 265/75/16 BFG’s KO2’s and would also like to add a slight spacer to bring them out a tad. Of course a quality spacer like Bora or SpyderTrax but would only go with a .75” or 1” spacer. 1.25” I think would be TOO much like the OP said.

I’m curious if anyone has put a leveling kit on the trail?

you could. Sure Whynot?!? Just throw on some bilstein 6112 on mid setting. That will level your trail. Also add in an Ekstrom 1/4” spacer on top of the drivers side for that yota’ lean due to your gas tank

No spacers on the trails wheel. Why because I don't like how factory wheels look with spacers. There was a 3rd gen with the TRD beadlocks and who ever drove it had added spacers. I didn't like how it looked. Who ever had the truck traded it in last year. Get Volks or what ever else has a negative offset and wider rim.

Also replace the suspension don't add spacers on the Trail Edition lift. Why? because I don't like the way it looks. TE looks good out of the box.

Kings, and Volks, Weds, 4x4 Engineering, SCS, or FNs with a negative offset. Or keep the Trail wheels at the factory offset with skinny tires

Your truck do what you want.

This is absolutely incorrect. As long as you use a high-quality spacer that is hubcentric and everything is torqued down correctly, including the wheel to the spacer, the fulcrum point of leverage against the wheel bearings is identical to that of a wheel with the same offset.

Bad information, if you don’t know what you’re talking about you should probably keep it to yourself, I can understand the motivation is that you’re trying to help people but you’re actually doing the exact opposite.

People that have had issues with wheel spacers did not do it correctly; they used a crap product, or they installed them incorrectly, or both in all likelihood. The surfaces need to be brushed and cleaned and totally flat without burrs or rocks or rust scale or any other thing in the middle to keep it from interfacing properly. You need to use Loctite, And you need to use the proper torque specification, do not over torque, or under torque. You do these things properly and you’ll have no more wear on your vehicle than you would with a wheel of the exact same net offset

It's a thread. People that search (which we all encourage and many choose to flame everyone for not doing, presumably because their self-importance was interrupted and contempted by someone asking a question) will get search returns with still relevant info within. Weird.

Did you have something to add? Or are you just mad at your dog..

umm, no it isn't. Your bolt face is being pushed out with spacers. With properly fitting wheel, that mass is up against the hub. Get yourself a 5lb weight. Hold it close to your body for 1 minute. Then extend your arm and try to hold it. That is what your wheel bearings are feeling. Spacers and adapters are terrible solutions. No different than a spacer lift.

uh, yes it is. The center of mass of the tire is the same distance from the bearing either way.
