My growing discontent with the continual water intrusion allowed by the factory tri-fold cover has me considering other options, such as Leer Lids.

If you are using a full bed lid what do you have?

    Flat lids, not toppers.

There are a few threads on this that I cant seem to find.
THIS is one thing that irks me about the new layout of the website a while back. If you typed out the question about lids.....you could scroll to the bottom of the page.
You didnt even have to hit enter to post your question...but there would be tons of threads at the bottom of the page that would show up with similiar posts to yours.

Not necisarilly 3rd gen lids, but lids in general.

The search has not helped me either, and I'm only interested in 3rd gen owners with lids.

This is from A.R.E. I had one on my previous truck too. It does the trick for me

The dealers/brands I have near me are Leer and A.R.E. The Leer 700 is $1500 and the A.R.E. LSII is $1175. That is a big difference for very similar lids.

Thank you, George. A.R.E. is likely getting the nod. $75 off for May, and the local dealer installs for $60, not $100 like the local Leer dealer.

The only thing I wish I ordered with it, which is available is their interior light that they offer. You might want to consider that option too. What you'll notice like with any tonneau is that when you open at night it's pitch dark in there

So what do you do with all of that nice carpet if you need to throw a leaky cooler in the back, firewood to go camping, lawn clippings or oily/greasy car parts?

A good question. Actually although it looks like carpet, it's not. It's actually an application that can be left exposed to the elements. Checkout the "Bedrug" website. It's very durable and a user friendly product. Like I said in a previous post I had this same thing in my previous truck too. I hunt, fish and have had bloody dead pheasants poised on my tailgate and it cleaned nicely. Amazing stuff

Undercover has the "Elite" ready now. I like the looks of it much better. (The handle is on the back, no latch ontop) I'm fighting the urge not to go see the banker. But I want one bad! Along with a bedrug.
