Yes, I consider it a huge issue. Not necessarily because of its function, but because it is standard equipment on many other vehicles less expensive than a Tacoma. It's not some special Toyota-only option they just came up with. Also because it's one of those features Toyota used to offer as standard to the trucks with automatics but make you pay extra for if you want a manual. What does my transmission choice have to do with comfort? All of us gear rowers aren't worthy of such things?

You're not. You clearly don't want convenience if you buy a MT in the 21st century.

I think it was added in 2021, I have a a 2020 OR MT (without it) and I think I remember reading that 2021 was getting the dual climate (and maybe dual power seats?) standard

Pretty sure all V6's have the dual zone climate control.

From what I've read all '21 and up that have 3.5 V6 will have dual zones, cheers!

All v6 models from 2020 onwards have it as standard equipment.

The MT in the Tacoma offers the convenience of actually keeping the truck in a gear that works. The Tacoma automatic is one of the worst I’ve ever driven and I would not have bought one if that was the only option.

Dual zone is ok I guess. I’ve had passengers change their side and I haven’t noticed a difference but apparently they have.

Apparently some of y'all haven't been married long enough to know the old adage, "Happy wife, happy life", or the less well known sobriquet, "When the Momma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy; when the Daddy ain't happy, ain't nobody cares". Speaking strictly for myself, after 28 years of marrige, if my wife can set the temperature for her seat to a point where's she's happy, even if it is a placebo, then I'm all for dual-zone automagic climate control.

I dont understand dual climate control in such a small space. One at 70 and the other at 80 = 75 ambient temp.......

Yes, there is some blending in the middle, but no, the average of the two zones is not the ambient temperature of each zone.

Not sure I agree with this. Its a small space, it has to mix and become an ambient temp. Maybe not at the vent, but everywhere else it starts to mix. You cant tell me that is not a mixed temp by the tine it reaches the back seat.

Virtually all cars these days have ventilation which flows through the passenger compartment and outside the vehicle, the heated and/or cooled air from the HVAC system doesn't stay in the vehicle long enough to blend like you think it does.

I’m waiting on a 22 OR M/T, and I didn’t even think to look at the dual zone climate control. I hope it comes with it. My wife is absolutely brutal, she loves it surface of the sun hot.

Really? That’s weird as hell. Guess I’m wrong. I’m currently sitting in an SR with it.

2022 OR MT here. Pretty sure dual zone is standard now. I only got 3 basic packages and was expecting single but jumped in and it’s dual. Doesn’t matter to me much as I’m alone 99.9% of the time so just hit the sync button and it’s the same.

Sounds like you will. From what others have said, it seems to have been added as a standard feature on all V6's in 2021. I just had a 2021 SR5 4-cylinder as a loaner and that did not have it.

I also checked the window sticker and that lists dual-zone. It was a pleasant surprise.
