I totally agree. If your vehicle is direct injection then the throttle body spacer does nothing. The whole point is to get the air swirling to mix the air and fuel better. If the fuel is injected directly into the cylinder then it is getting mixed as good is it will ever get mixed. When using throttle body injection or a carburetor the fuel is getting injected earlier in the intake cycle and there is more time for the fuel to get mixed around so it will actually do something.

I put a K&N sticker while keeping everything else stock and instantly added 100 HP to my 4 cyl Tacoma! Beat that! :D

Ill stop you right there haha I win races both street and offroad against cars and I mean fast cars from turbo 350zs to turbo dodge calibers and I have the video to prove it, and I take on off road trails way better then alot of my friends in thier non-toyota trucks. Also trucks with nice exhaust like dual pipes are very popular. :D

    Yes. :)

    I love the sound.
Here's my truck on the dyno. It has the super quiet stock muffler, so ALL of the sound you are hearing is coming from the 3 foot long Injen intake tube.

Mine makes noise too. When I turn it off and it makes that release of air sound from the emissions system. I tell myself it's the turbo cooling down. I would tell people that too if they asked.

Putting performance parts on a truck engine makes as much sense to me as putting heavy duty springs on the back of a sports car so you can carry more weight in the trunk.

    To each their own.

    Agreed.....

Its very nice to be able to merge and pass when needed.
I was contemplating buying a G35 instead of the truck, now I see no need.

The only gain you should be really looking for with a CAI is throttle response, which is possible when mated to the correct exhaust system. Yes their are HP gains, but usually minimal.

Also, if you're worried about Fuel Economy, you should be driving a Prius and not a truck!

If it doesn't break my leg, nor pick my pocket to each his own. I love my volant CAI, and will be adding a snorkel within the next week or so. When I temporarily swapped from my volant truck to a stock truck, I immediately noticed a loss of performance. And that is good enough for me!
