I will say, my insurance dropped a lot after I was 30. Even more when I bought a house.

I currently pay $57.65 each month for full coverage on my truck.

I lost a lot of interest in fast cars after 2011. Only recently did I become interested again only because of the amenities they come with over an absolute dinosaur machine like the Tacoma.

I only take great care in the spelling of and am such a Nazi about it because of the one I own. Boy is it expensive to drive a fast car.

Insurance ain't bad though. $31/ month for my 6th gen ZL1.

The perks of being old(er) right? :)

EDIT: Here we go again, you, me, bishop, and Bro, deviating from the topic of the thread like always.

I was getting more into snowboarding and needed a 4wd to get up into the storms. A 93 Xtra-cab with the 3.slow was exactly what I needed. Zero to 60 in about 4 minutes

My brother still hasn’t grown out of the “fast car” and “big truck” strange. He bought a Camaro I don’t know what model. It has a track pack and a 6.2.

I still get suckered into “helping” work on stuff. I must be getting old, because all I see is “unnecessary work”.

I really enjoy how my Tacoma is more than capable of dealing with inclimate weather. 0-60 in about 4 minutes. Perfect speed capabilities man! My truck is the boosted 4.slow so I get up to 60 in about 3 minutes and 30 seconds.

I think it's important to have both. One for business, one for pleasure, and both to tinker with whenever you feel bored just because.

I do agree though, I've reached the point where a lot of mods have become "unnecessary work." Most times I like to leave well enough be.

I got the original pump from my truck and diagnosed it according to their repair manual. The only part that failed was the floater resistor.
I guess they didn´t want to deal with a lot of diagnostics. I'll get a new floater assembly and probably put the original pump back once I empty this next tank of gas.

    How did you diagnose it?
If you didn’t pressure test it, you can’t be sure it isn’t bad.

I checked voltages on the circuit. It also pumps fine, the floater is the only thing that doesn’t work properly

Fair enough. That’s what I thought when the truck died, showed gas in the tank but wouldn’t start up again. Once all the shit with the shop I wanted to see if the pump had actually failed.
