I was changing out all my diff, oil today when it come to the front i noticed some dark oil residue around the drivers side axle so before i proceded to drop the if there was any in there i grabbed the axle and shooked it was loose.
the other side was tight
so i never checked the oil i put the skid plates back on and i take it to the dealer which is 1.5 hour drive this week need to show them the rusty chrome bumper anyway been putting it off. so will they put a new bearing in or replace the diff. my concern is the diff. was dry on oil should of checked it but did not wont to drain the oil if it had any and use my synthetic oil see what the dealer say.truck is 08 with 21k on it.

The passengers side is much tighter, driver side has a lot of movement. Dealer told me it was ok. I am skeptical, but I have never have any problems...

They told me it was ok. You should take yours in and see if they say the same thing.
