Is it 20 or 25% for tint?

Yours looks good. What kind of tires and size did you go with? I have a white Tacoma and in my head it looks like yours?

 

20% on the fronts. My neighbor did it. He had some stuff from viper. He had 35% and 20%. I figured 35% was too light. It's a pretty close match.

 

Here’s what I have done.

20% over the camper shell tint. I did not tint the front window (closest to the cab). This allows me to easily see out of my rear view mirror during the day.

20% over factory on my rear doors.

Planning on going with 20% on the front door windows and 20% brow on the windshield.

Depending on the time of day and light, you can still see silhouettes of objects or bright objects in my bed and in my back seat, but it’s very difficult.

I suggest going with 20% on all windows. I only had 20% on my front two windows on my 5th gen 4Runner and the difference in color drove me crazy. The factory tint had a purplish tint. The aftermarket tint had a greenish tint. Had I tinted the the entire vehicle with 20%, the rear windows would have just looked black.

 

I did 20% all around and glad I did. I was worried about it being too dark, but after sitting in my buddies Colorado with limo tint rear 20% front I was sold.

 

I did 35% on the factory dyed glass, 15% on the front windows and air blue 80 on the windshield and I’ve been very Happy with the results.

 

I have to contact the guy I bought this from. He offered to remove it since he knew most front tint is illegal in my state. I said F-it for now, no inspection for two more years, but I had it at the Inspection station to get my "New car sticker". The manager didnt say a peep about the brow tint. You can plainly see through the cab in this photo....The sun is a killer, I will keep it and fight any BS tickets I get, maybe get a Dr. note too.

 

15-20 is perfect in my opinion, plenty dark but you can still see a slight silhouette at the right angle

20% on everything with the exception of the windshield. Windshield is 50% IIRC. The rear windows are slightly darker than the fronts since they came “tinted” out of the factory.

 

Any reputable shop will do these calculations and tell you that matching color from the interior is tough. Toyota uses uv treatment on the fronts that differs from the rear. Expel XR black is very close to factory coloring and I did 20% front ceramic. Very close in appearance inside and out. Left the rears alone.

 

15 Xpel all the way around. Interestingly, on the inside, the front and back look the same. I love the back being dark, I leave the switch off for the rear mirror to adjust for headlights behind. It’s not even necessary and stays true to color that way instead of green.

my old room mate got into a car accident last year (his fault). He had super dark tint on the front windows. His insurance company almost didn't pay out for his vehicle because of the tint.
