    a) its lame (but that's just a matter of opinion)
    b) its still not a pro, but instead a replica or clone, which is the question OP asked
    c) factory pros actually do hold higher resale than the other TRD trims

But to each their own, you're truck do as you please, could care less, but if you ask my opinion I'll be happy to share it with you.

    Like, so many.
That's true, but you could make an OR indistinguishable from a Pro with very little effort.

.....but, it's still an OR with added parts. If you make it an exact replica by using all Pro parts you end up with a OR with Pro parts that you probably paid more for than if you just bought a Pro. If you build out an OR with a mix of Pro and better parts - which is what people say is the rationale, you still end up with an OR.

Of course, that's just my opinion.

Somewhat of a silly thread but entertaining regardless so I'll contribute.

As a Pro owner, I'd say yes - IF - you have a 4x4 OR, replace everything with factory Toyota parts, but ONLY those things. A TRD OR have has the mechanical bells and whistles, just missing the mostly aesthetic ones. A lot of people mention the seats, suspension, exhaust, wheels, fenders, hood, emblems, etc. but also miss the items that also make a Pro a Pro. Factory blacked headlights and tail lights are one of the bigger missed things to me. My personal opinion is aftermarket headlights and delaminated/painted lights are tacky. I also think once you start adding things that are not factory parts, you're going even further from making a non Pro an actual Toyota idealized Pro.

I say yes because the Tacoma is different because the chassis and body is identical between Pros to Non-Pros.

Unlike say, a Civic Type R, BMW M3, Ford Raptor - These factory tuned versions of the lesser vehicles actually have a unique chassis that's reinforced in ways you can't simply bolt on. If you have a loaded non-Pro and bolt on all the Pro parts - No one could tell except by looking at your VIN, you have an actual Pro in my book.

    My 02 cents
I have a 67 SS Chevelle and if i sell it i bet the buyer would not even look at the badges until they looked at the VIN. And then they would look at the block to verify the correct VIN there also to assure it is a number matching Car. I also have a 69 BB Corvette that the VIN does not tell you the trim level but a buyer would know a 100 ways to tell if it was a true big block car, but the motor VIN will Match the VIN of the car. So this tells me that the VIN rules, if the VIN does not say it is a PRO then it is just a PRO tender as the man above stated.

I agree with you. It would be a ridiculous waste of money. I'm just saying no one on here would be able to tell it's an impostor without running the VIN.

Any more these days, if you associate your truck with a TRD Pro, then you have a TRD Pro.

Its not even a snorkel. Its a desert air intake. Not for water use. Even when it snows, you're supposed to turn it around backwards. Its so stupid why dealers here in TN stock Pros with DAI. Where's the nearest desert???

It’s a bit of effort but quite a bit of $$ if you’re gonna use new OEM parts!

What are the exclusive Pro parts? Are there parts that nobody can buy unless you prove you own the VIN?

Rims , color matched rear bumper, hood, grill, fog lights, emblems and Snerkel for starters... that's a lot of loot to fool someone from 10 feet away, without even getting to suspension and markings. My trail limo pictured looks more like a pro
