I see it differently. Tacoma and Tundra for example have really high resale values that are much higher than their residuals. I would never give them back to a dealer so I make an effort with my leased Toyotas. I was able to get $7,400 back on my leased Tundra when I sold it instead of giving it back to Toyota. Depending how long I keep the Tacoma I am hoping for at least that much back when it's time to sell it.
