You are right, sort of. It is not himself who has caused the rage, it is his administrations ideology. Eric Holder only worsened the rush when he announced the administrations proactive stance on reinstating the assault weapons ban.

About the availability of ammunition. I have had a hell of a time tracking down any decent amount of ammo lately. A fair amount of shops in the area have put restrictions on the amount of rounds that can be purchased by an individual as to ration their supplies. Even cartridges have been a pain to get a hold of, although, by the end of this month I should have enough cartridges to start a run of 1000 5.56 rounds.

There hasn't been any 9, .40 or .45 in Walmarts in San Antonio in a while. You can call and they never know when it will come in. If you do find some consider yourself very lucky.

It's getting nuts. I bought a 9mm pistol about a month ago and now I cant find any damn bullets to shoot.

And someone explain this to me I have been searching high and low for a box of .22 LR bullets cant find them anywhere. Why would people stock up on .22 bullets or do you think they are just using all their resources to build other size bullets?

    Nothing yet, brand new!
Cabela's here had plenty of both.. I've never had problems getting .270 rounds. Regarding .223 you need to be at the store early or just fall into a good buy. Any gun shows in your area soon?? I scored 800 rounds of 223 there and another 800 rounds I bought from Sportsman's guide.

I believe in gun rights but I think I should be the only one with the right. :D I'm actually one of the few gun toting liberals out there, grew up on an Iowa farm and know how to use weapons. Too many people buy them with no clue what they're doing and don't have the necessary experience or take any training.

I haven't had any hassle buying ammo yet, currently have a .380 auto, .22 long rifle and 20ga shotgun.

Yes, the prices for 7.61x39 is getting stupid fast. In a little over a month it has gone from 225.00 per 1k to over 300.00. It is commanding almost the same price as .223, which is stupid, considering there is a ton of surpluss out there for the 7.61x39.

My kid shoots a 10/22, and we have been buying a couple bricks everytime we go into a store that has any. I think he is up to about 6k rounds at the moment. He is only 8 and he can go through a brick in just a day of shooting. So, I got to find more :) Also, it stores for ever if done properly, so why not buy while it is cheap (relatively).

I'll just wait till everyone stocks up and when the market catches up and prices fall I'll go buy a couple boxes for my .45. The whole stocking up mentality is pretty much a bunch of nut jobs that listen to rush limbaugh way to much. Nothing wrong with having a brick of .22's but the people stocking up already have piles of ammo.

I went down to South Padre last Monday and stopped at the Walmart in Port Isabel! They had a crapload of ammo. So I bought a few boxes of 9MM 45, 30.06, 357, and a couple value packs of 223. My buddy I was with said" Man my wife would never let me spend that much for ammo" I just told him " I bet your wife doesnt shoot the way mine does! And there is no one else Id rather have my back in a gun fight than My Wife!" I aint lying the girl can shoot!

The mass media in this country has always kept the people in fear. It sells better. Now that this is an Obamanation, the people believe that one of the first orders of business will be to shut down American gun manufacturers and tax ammunition out of existance. So now people are dealing with a self-created shortage of ammo.

The truth is that while Democrats in general don't care for guns in citizens' hands, Obama is facing more REAL problems right now than he can deal with. This county is circling the drain - he can't be bothered with such a petty subject right now.

BTW, I live in New York and have had no problems getting 357, 9mm, and 40. Go online and you'll find all you need, including stuff like shotgun rounds for door breaching.

    Dutchess county.. yikes.. that's tough.
I used to deliver to a guy in redhook who described what he has to do to add a gun to his permit.
I am great full to live in Ressalear county where our demcrate judge and pistol permit clerk are gun right supporters.

I did it again. Got tired of paying truck payments and gas and traded in for a 2015 Honda Accord Sport since I enjoyed my 2013 Sport so much.
Most stores are out here in Texas and the online sites I buy from are bone dry as well.

When it CAN be found, it's expensive. I miss the days of XM193 for $160/1000 and 9mm for $86/1000.

    Now it's friggin $450/1000 and $240/1000. Bleh.

I have a few thousand stashed away for my AR and am afraid to shoot them because I can't replace it easy these days. I have less than a thousand rounds for 9mm and haven't practiced in a month due to ammo being scarce.
