check out Dunham's if you have one in your area. Wolf .223 $8.50/20. they only had six boxes and i cleaned them out. picked up some .40 there as well. they even had a couple of 200rd dryboxes .308 for i think $249.00. thought i would try them as everyone else in the area is out of prettymuch everything. lol the mall is last place i thought i'd be gettin some lead.

Its pretty hard to come by here. Wal mart dont even have 30-06 bullets. We reload our own 75% of the time now though. If I want to buy .357 mag bullets I have to run to gander mountain and fight off the other people at the shelf before they dissapear. People were in line to buy ar-15s and all those army lookin guns (dont know anything about them). Shotguns are sold out for the most part. Theres always been a high demand of bullets where im from, but its worse now. I dont think people are "saving them up" though because just about any day of the week you go outside it sounds like a war is goin on around you theres so many people shootin.

    Yep.
I load all my own rounds and even the (bulk) supplies I normally buy have been getting back ordered. that has never happened. but I do have enough rounds (15k+ in 9 diff cals) to last quite some time, enjoy doing it though.

I stopped in a Cabella's store in northern Idaho yesterday as I was passing through. They had a fair amount of ammo, 9mm, 38 and 357, 40, 45, some 308, quite a bit of .22, etc. It was not cheap, maybe 20% more costly than what it would have been a year ago. No primers, however. And I noticed that prices on their guns were inflated quite a bit also, probably 20%. Someone is making a killing right now, that's all I can say. Commodity prices (lead, copper, etc.) are much lower than a year or two ago, and yet because of the artificial demand created by fear (reasonable, or unreasonable, I guess that's the question to which we have not yet received an answer) is making some folks a lot of $.

There's an asshat in my town who runs around to all the stores, Wallyworld and also the gun shops, and snaps up ammo as it is put on the shelves, and sells it for inflated prices on gunbroker.com. I've tried talking some of the shop owners into not selling to him or to other blatant hoarders, but they don't give a shit, they just want to move inventory.

yeah there is a site called swapgiant that people are buying 9mm for $9 from walmart and selling it for $15. I understand trying to make a buck or 2 if they are trying to get your own paid for but that is just F@ing raping people that want it. I just found 100 rds of 9 and 200 rnds of .40 at walmart. bought it all and don't plan on selling it. These people probably don't even have guns.

There are a few people on here that live in the Upstate of SC. As of 5:00 pm today, Sports Authority at the old Greenville mall had about 50 boxes of 9mm. They had 38 special as well. They only got 2 boxes of .380 left, b/c I bought 8 boxes.

I also called and the store on Laurens road had 9mm as well. I just don't know how much, b/c I didn't go. I'm still looking for 40 cal though. :(

:woot: stopped at Buckeye Outdoors the other day while on a delivery for work. they must've had 6-7k rds. of .9mm, .40, .45, and .38 respectively on the floor. plenty of .223, 7.62 and .308 also. i didn't go nuts or anything, but got a couple boxes of .40 and some 5.7mm. they still didn't have what i really wanted though....22WMR. been having a hell of a time getting any, but got lucky as hell tonight when i bumped into an old buddy at another friends house. he gave me 200rds. including TNT's, Maxi Mags, Winchester Supreme, and some Federal Premiums. his uncle has recently passed and had accumulated a motherload of ammo and firearms over his life...his nephew got all of it. he said he didn't know why his uncle had any .22 mag. ammo, as he didn't own a gun chambered for it, so him knowing i have one, just gave it to me! Sweet! i was already planning on doing some shooting on Sunday, so they will come in handy. :bananadance:

That's gotta feel nice. From the looks of your stockpile you have a nice little firearm collection going.

It's pretty bad when you(I) think twice about going shooting whether it be for practice or fun out of fear that you won't be able to find more ammo at a resonable price.

did some looking around here Yesterday, Gander mountain had alot, different kinds, but only few boxs of each. Outdoorsman, slim pickings, but enough .44mag ammo. Elmores stocked big time, found 100 brass cases (Winchester 30-06) for $20, mixed batch 500 of .308, .44mag, and .223 non military brass for $50.
Sometimes yard sales are good, now the tumbler will be working overtime.

Still looking for .32 mag ammo, if you know of a place in stock, shout out please.

Noticed this at reloading supplier "Powder Valley Inc." web sight. What's listed is pretty slim.

At this time we are not taking any new backorders for primers that are not listed here. We currently have over 50 million primers on backorder. If you currently have a backorder in place your order will be processed as primers become available. Once we begin receiving more primers from the manufacturers and are able to begin filling current backorders we will update the website.

Also the walmart's and gander mountain here are rationing even .22 rimfire!!
