Most likely she had it in 4lo and drive that would be my guess, my 86 K5 would cruise pretty fast even in 4lo down hill and almost always had to feather the brakes. we werent there so all we can do is assume.

I was at Sedonafest last weekend with 120 FJs. They are a little crazy lol Real nice folks though. They and def not like tacoma guys though. Tacoma owners are cheap bastards compared to the FJ crowd. I'd say about 40 - 50 guys out of our event had $25k+ into their rigs and a few had $40k+ into them.

I went on a hill way scarier then that this last weekend in my dads stock FJ.

Steeper on Black volcanic sand that was 3 ft deep. You hit the brakes and it would slide the whole rig sideways. Oh it was raining too lol

The grey spec is an FJ you can't see the bottom of the hill its twice as long then the picture shows

Yeah I noticed that too, but I describe it as economical/planned vs. "i need top of the line, name brand, and it better have been in a Top Gear episode" ;) I wheeled with a guy who had more money in his LED lights than most guys put in their lifts.

I've never met a FJC driver I didn't get along with!

This is the reason why to have lockers and why relaying on ATRAC is such a dumb idea. With lockers you can pput on low, lock front and rear and crawl down the thing with no problems with out even touching the brakes. If you use brakes to get up that thing by the time you need them to go down they may be too hot

Low gears and crawl in first. That's how we did it. :)

Sad, but you still the A-TRAC player haters haven't a clue... A-TRAC would assist in CLIMBING, not descending. The downhill assist that the Off Road TRDs have would be the system to roll down that safely... you never need to touch the brakes... Someday your old Taco will wear out and then you might actually get to drive the new ones and appreciate what Toyota has done for the Tacoma, Tundra, FJ Cruiser, 4Runner, Lexus, etc.

Locker won't do shit for slowing you down. You should educate yourself a bit more.
