    Something to remember: As long as your wheels are turning in the direction of your steep downhill obstacle you have alot more control than what you may think (even if its a little faster than you'd like) Once you lock'em up in a knee-jerk manner, all bets are off & instead of YOU turning your vehicle in the direction YOU want with some degree of control, you become a passenger instead of a driver, gravity takes full control of where & how you end up... just my $.02 ;)

    I think what he is getting at is that if A-TRAC is used on the way up, it is constantly working and making your brakes hotter, which may affect their ability to stop you on the descent.

    That's what I got out of it as well.

    It makes sense to some degree, just not sure that they will get hot enough to fail you on the way down. I'd still rather have lockers and no electrical gizmos to mess with my driving.
