Is it just me, or does the stock grill "work" with Silver Sky Metallic?

Chrome looks great on your truck. Lesser of two evils. Plastdip looks cheap.

 

Stock looks fine to me on any Tacoma.

 

I'm a poor man so I guess I feel fortunate to be driving a $25,000 pick up. So really the truck looks fine to me stock.

 

I like the stock grille on everything except quicksand. I blacked out all the emblems but left the grille itself chrome. Looks good on my white in my opinion.

Why so much hate on the TRD Denali grille?

 

Stock grille works for me on silver but I painted mine black on my Quicksand. It's your truck so do what makes you happy! I did.

 

I really like my new grille I just put on last week.

 

Im sure im in the minority but i actually like the trd grille. What i dont like is the constrasting chrome on chrome on chrome look. If you can tone it down it really looks nice with the darker chrome bars and lighter chrome surround and emblem

 

It's okay, but that blue license plate has got to go.

 

I like the chrome grill on my SS. Its the main reason I named my truck bruce (after the animatronic shark from Jaws and also reminds me of Jaws in the James Bond series).

 

I'm with you OP. Gunmetal chrome grill "works" nicely with Sky Silver.

 

There's so much shiny chrome on the stock grille that I'd never actually realized there were bars mixed in with the razor foils.

Kinda like looking directly at the sun and not realizing there are sun spots until the brightness is toned way down.

 

Speaking of James Bond, I heard that Roger Moore passed away today.

 

I'm a product of the 50's, so I like chrome, but I think brich999's grill looks great! I'd do that with my '14 if I had the same grille.

 

i think it definitely looks best on your paint color, but i still can't stand it. i don't really love any of the other aftermarket grilles so i went and designed and fabricated my own.

 

I agree -- I have a SR5 and have just acquired a OR grill. This picture is nice and he has done a great job. My decision is whether to paint the "braces" background BBP or flat black?

Wish it would of been Daniel Craig instead. He's the worst in my book. He's ruined the series for me. I can't wait until they replace him (Michael Fastbender?)
