Is it just me, or does the stock grill "work" with Silver Sky Metallic?

Agreed. Happy to not change our grill in lieu of more functional mods.

There are some colors it goes well with, others, not so much. I have a black TRD Sport. I really like the splash of contrast that the stock grill and wheels provide. YMMV.

Agreed, It looks good on the SSM, but I just installed the faux TRD Pro grill on my SSM and it gives it a much more aggressive and truck look now.

When I picked mine up (Sky Silver) DCSB OR. I had that ugly chrome grill out and put a Pro one in simply because I hate chromed plastic that much ! I also did black emblem overlays on the Tacoma door emblems and the V6 emblem on the tailgate. All done with in an hour of ownership.

If the gun metal looked this "toned down" all the time, I would have kept it. But when fire season is over, the sun will come out, and the gun metal will blend right into that shiny chrome emblem. But I do agree, it looks best on the SSM!

In my opinion. Chrome always looks best on silver and black vehicles. On other colors it’s a hit or miss.

The chrome doesn't bother me so much on my silver Tacoma compared to some of the other colors. I'm still debating about painting the chrome ring around the grill and leaving the rest as is.

Pro grille is boss, but I don't hate the chrome grille on my SSM. If it breaks or I feel like wasting 500 bucks, I might spring for one.

    Bone stock.....and I'm OK with that.Inked20171007_133725_LI.jpg

Faux TRD pro grill. Truck is dirty, grill is clean, I installed a couple of days ago. I like the chrome, but I like this better on my truck. Next up will be the just ordered Dissent rack, Mobtown rear bumper and possibly a OME lift.D30B8F82-1BBF-4F2F-B7A2-5F0E4C8E966E.jpg

Technically you are right. However, nothing has changed since I drove off the lot. It was no deal with the sport rims and they threw in toneau and winter kicks. Oh, my wife did buy me weather tech floor mats for Christmas.

Perhaps "bone stock and full of shit" would be more accurate?

I like it on my MGM. I would take a Pro grill if someone gave it to me. But with the stock rims the stock grill fits. Change one and I'd change the other.

I recently picked up a 2017 Silver Sky Tacoma and I like the look of the stock grill! That does not mean I wont ever change it but its not as high on the priority list for me.

I will say my favorite color is the Quicksand and it looks dope with a blacked out grill (they were not dealing on any of the Quicksands).
