As a 2nd gen owner ... I think I'm ready to look at another gen

 

I don't think their overly optimistic sense of self worth has any boundries.

 

Possible? No it is a certainty. Not sure if 2nd or 3rd gen owners will be more responsible for it, but it is a certainty.

 

This generational stuff happens on every popular marquee forum.

The newest has a high % of owners who've never read an owners manual (as well as some skilled folk, but they don't post much)

The last gen has the ones who've grown, learned, modified, repaired, know lots of helpful tricks

The next older gen has a few that think they are in 'get rich because it's collectible land', but because most have dropped greatly in price it's rife with kids raving about their PepBoys modifications, complaining about insurance costs and begging for help with basic maintenance.

Over the years watched it happen on at least 3 forums. Happened here in '16, time for a wash, rinse, repeat.

The high schoolers who inherit their trucks will be posting on tiktok pretending they own another vehicle altogether, and will not admit they own a 2nd gen taco. 2nd gen postings will therefore trickle to almost none...

 

Boy I should figure out if my first Tacoma was 1G or 2.

Nah....our TW contracts didn't include harassment of 4th Gen members.....only 3rd Gen.
