I'm thinking of buying a matching wheel and going to a 5 tire rotation but I'd like to have the 5th tire monitored by the TPMS also - particularly when it is one of the 4 tires on the pavement. Without buying a TechStream license first, does anyone know if the ECU can monitor an added 5th TPMS sensor?

My truck is 2014 TRD OR DC 4x4

    Thanks!

The ECU should have 5 spaces available, including spare.

Thanks! Is that a screen shot of the latest TechStream version? It looks different than what I remember from using 2 years ago.

Well...I finally got my matching wheel, got a used Tacoma sensor of eBay, so now I have a complete OEM 5th wheel spare setup mounted and at 35psi.

My frustration and request for help is I installed my Drewtech Mongoose OBDII software/driver and got my 2 day tech stream subscription. Connected fine between my computer and ECU. But I can not figure out how to replace the 5th Tire sensor data...it is currently 0000000.

Looking above in post 4 at the second image, when I go into the ID registration, on my screen it says Total Tires 4, where in that picture it's 5. So I'm only able to enter 4 sensor IDs before the registration program quits.

Is there a way to change the value to 5 tires?

I've gone the the TS help, the Toyota TIS help now for 2 hours and searched Google with no solution.

    Truck is a 2014 DCDB AT 4x4

    Thanks!

There is no space on the computer for a 5th TPMS. I spent 3 hours at a dealer trying to have the one in the matching spare added. I was told it can not be added. So I know your pain. I even sent a question to Toyota about it. I was told the same thing. The people at Yota need to start asking us what we want!!!
