Is it possible to get rid of the scratches?

If they aren't to deep you can buff them out.

or how much time you want to spend on them

 

If they are in the clear only... you can buff them out. If they're down through the paint (including to primer or metal) then no, you really can't. You can use the scratch/chip pens to cover them (in fact if it's metal I suggest you do to prevent rust). They will never look that great though, unless you repaint the whole panel.

But if it's just clear.. no biggy. Just make sure to wax her good after you're done, and don't "over buff" through the paint

It will look better but still evident.

To prevent and possibly lighten/remove the little scratches I try to keep it waxed all the time.

You should've been there for that one. It was pretty funny. But it was about headlights though.

 

I've gotten pretty good with touchup paint over time. Folks will say you can't get it perfect and that's true, but you can shorten up the distance the flaws are visible from.

My old truck used to have a couple "rubbed bare" spots that were visible from a hundred feet away, and I touched them up to where they were easy to overlook at 5 feet away and you had to know exactly where to look to see them at 10 or 20 feet away.

The hardest ones are the ones that are too deep to buf out but to shallow to really hold the touchup paint.
