Is it possible to order a sunroof and install it in a 1st gen?

    It's possible, but I do not feel it's worth it.
    I've been in the auto body business for years and I have seen way more bad after market or factory sunroofs added than good ones. If you are set on doing it you will want to make sure the part # for the roof panel is the same on the trucks with the factory sunroof as the trucks without. I am pretty sure it's not. On most vehicles with factory sunroofs they have additional braces to support the sunroof frame and motor if it's motorized.

    Some companies make aftermarket sunroofs and install them.
    Webasto is one thats off the top of my head.
    Some 2nd gems had them installed on here, and seemed happy with them.
    If I recall correctly, they were maybe about $1000-$2000 installed.
