Is it possible to swap 4 cylinder to a v6 in a 99'? the truck is in decent condition but the tires slow it down. I want it to go a little faster (my moms 2013 corolla can out run it) and be able to pull a small boat with ease. also the gas mileage is literally garbage because of the mud tires I have on it and I was wondering if the gas mileage would improve a little (it gets around 13 mpg) and thanks to a certain political figure its 40$ to fill up and its eating up my summer job money lol.

Possible, but unlikely to save any money.

thanks to all the people who welcomed me. to the person who gave me a bunch of links thanks, they help. after inspecting my truck I am one of the very few who actually got their truck factory coated so the frame isn't rusted any. my dad got it for free from an old friend after doing some work for him and I got it for my birthday. I hope it lasts me a while but I was wondering if there is anything I can do to give it more power. money isn't a big deal because I can always save for 20 years lol.
