I believe they have a one way check ball built into the filler neck to prevent the insertion of a hose going into it.I could be wrong but I would hope they have that system in there, the fuel is way too easily accessible on these trucks!

I heard there's a screen in the neck that acts as a sort of filter as well as theft prevention. If there is a screen, then no you can't siphon gas unless you break through that screen.

With enough time, money, and persistence, anything allowed by the laws of physics (and, a few things that technically aren't) is possible.

Check-balls aren't for anti-siphon, btw. (though they may serve double-duty as such) They're in case the vehicle ends up on it's roof, so that fuel flow will at least be reduced out of the filler cap, if not stopped.

Haven't looked at my setup yet, but we had several vehicles at work drained.
They all had anti-syphon screens. The theives cut the rubber hose connection between the tank and the filler.

I discovered when I pulled into a gas station, started the gas and was washing the windshield. All of a sudden everyion is running in my direction. The gas, about 10 gallons was just running out, onto the driveway and down the drain.

    Talk about poor gas milage.

I tried ramming an electrical snake through the screen to no avail. Mostly because I didn't like the idea of continuously ramming and pushing a metal snake against what is probably a metal mesh that could cause a spark and who knows what after that.

I would like to have access to my gas tank in case fuel was ever needed to run my generator etc.

The OP asked if there was a way to siphon gas from a second gen. I tried to answer asbestos I could with my experience.

A "jerry" can is about 5 or so gallons. I would like about 20 gallons if needed. I would also like access to the fuel tank in my truck to get this gas if ever needed so I tried what I could to get it. That is why I used the snake and if it was easy, I would have been there.
