Is it safe to assume most mods that fit 2021 models will fit the new 2022’s?

I’ll be getting my first, and long awaited, Tacoma. It should be here in a few weeks and will be a 2022 SR5. I’ve been looking around at mods I’d like to get done but I haven’t seen any vendors list a 2022 as an option for fitting a particular piece.

I’ve been looking at grilles, headlights, fog lights, tail lights, etc. Can I safely assume if a particular piece, such as a new headlight fixture, fits a 2021 it will fit a 2022?

Yes, I don't believe any hardware has really changed much since 2016. Software and some wiring may have changed in 2020, but that's about it. A 2016 headlight should still fit a 2022 if you really wanted.

    No.

Because the only time you should use “safe” and “assume” in the same sentence is to say.
“Safe and assume should never be used in the same sentence”

It would however, be a fair assumption. Yes.

Yeah, I been to a few work place safety meetings. Can you tell?

Seriously though, more than likely you are fine.
I doubt the Tacoma will change a lot until the next Gen is released.

Check out this site. It lets you specify a 2022 Tacoma when you shop. You can at least shop and compare regardless of where you end up buying.

Yes. Unless you are talking about new Pro suspension tweaks for 22, I can’t think of any differences from a 21 to a 22 for all other trim levels. Everything should fit.
