    Hi everyone,
I have a bit of a problem. I want a Tacoma because I have heard so much about their reliability and resale which isn’t really an issue for me. I normally haul a dirt bike and gear to and from the track so day to day isn’t a problem. I am moving back to the states in a couple days and can get a fair price on a loaded trd Offroad cclb, which I think will be great. My problem is I have a Camaro in Memphis and a Cutlass in North Dakota that I would have to tow to Wyoming. The total weight should be around 5500. After reading the towing pin I think I will be well in to towing mods for two trips because both are street cars and hopefully this is the only time they are on the trailer. Should I just get a full size?

Buying a full size for just two tows? Or will you tow those regularly?

If this more of a one time event, I'd seek other options and get the Tacoma.

The cars can be relocated in a number of other ways. Maybe not 'cheap' in the near term, but compared to the overall life of owning a tow vehicle you might not care much about..............

That is true, I dont plan on towing them often. The 1/2 ton might be overkill.

    FE Warren?

Anyway what you want to do is either have them shipped or fly to them and drive them. Shipping will likely be in the $500-700 range and fling will be in the 200-300 range. But assuming you're in cheyenne you'll fly out of Denver which is a pain. In any case I wouldn't buy a truck just to move 2 vehicles.

Although tbh unless I had a classic I didn't want to part with I'd just sell them. Camaros arent hard to replace and the weather in cheyenne sucks and they'll spend a lot of time parked in the garage or buried in snow. And if they ARE classics that are in awesome shape, theyll STILL spend a lot of time in a garage. The wind there is crazy and it will wear on your paint and windows.

    Indy,
Yes FE Warren. They aren’t classics but my camaro is a clean summer car, and I bought the cutlass as a roller. I was in North Dakota for years with both so I hope Cheyenne isn’t as bad about waiting on the snow to melt.04C88663-DCEF-44AF-A105-95E00DBBF3C9.jpg

The weather in Cheyenne sucks. It sucks so bad. I lived in Cheyenne for half my life. Was a cop there for about a decade . Went into real estate, and moved to Florida about 3 years ago. If you actually v want to buy a place there let me know and I'll get you a referral.

Thares no protection. It's just wide open, dead prairie. You'll set green maybe 2 months out if the year, it's technically a desert. When the snow flies (which it still was a week ago) it will end up 6' deep. The wind will blow 80mph 24/7 for a couple months straight.

I don't miss it is my point :) you'll definitely want a garage.

Sorry you feel like that, hopefully it goes better for us. Thanks for the house help but we found one that fits the cars.

Np. Ft Collins colorado is about 30 min south, good food and bars in the "old town" area. Cheyenne has Applebee's and chili's type places to eat. Most of the biz in town is off of dell range, down town is pretry much dead. Much of it is actually condemned above street level and the powers that be spend $$$$ every year on studies to "REVITALIZE" but never actally do any thing besides throw money at each other and ignore the recomendations. It's very much the "good ol boy" system, and the ol boys are obsessed that some cowboy farted in a building 100 years ago so it can't be touched.

The most popular bar is the outlaw on south greeley. It's a country bar in the county. No smoking in any biz in city limits so the bars are pretty barren. Stay out of the lamp unless you're looking for meth and a quick exit from the military. Watch your speed when you leave the main gate. It's a honey hole for traffic enforcement. And then there's "frontier days"... which is actually just around the corner.
