2002 Mercedes E320, in good shape but 13 years old at the time and it got totaled; Scumbag old man was a repeat offender who had a previously killed somebody while driving drunk in the 1980s and lied to his insurance company to shift blame for the accident. Even though he got a DUI, his insurance company believed his story that I'd run a stop sign and my insurance company ended up eating the cost of fixing my truck after a long legal battle (my rates didn't go up and I had no deductible); Honestly, the old man is lucky he didn't get his teeth knocked out on the spot after hitting my truck, when he accused ME of running the stop sign. He unknowingly hired a lawyer who owned the bar I worked for, and said lawyer end ended up arranging for the drunk to pay me restitution money!

 

Wonder what kind of damage it would be if OP had the ARB summit bumper…

 

This was $6K which included rocker panel, door dent. Fender was pushed under door 2"

 

Yup, they are supposed to. That's what keeps us in one piece inside the passenger cage.

 

Dashcam. Nobody needs to know about it either. You don't point out "I have it all on dashcam" and then if you absolutely have to, hire a lawyer. For your case, hiring a lawyer would have been my first step. If there is no evidence outside of your word vs. his, insurance is going to put in minimal effort and take the easiest route.

Everybody needs a dashcam.

 

I didn't have one at the time, but I bought one with the restitution money the drunk guy was court ordered to pay me; Karma's a bitch!

 

Guaranteeed the clips on that light are busted, but you can make some loot back if you can salvage the broken clip pieces before the body shop takes it apart and buys you a new light. Ohh... and dont forget to apply the car band-aid if you have to drive like that for a while

Yea, if there one thig to take away from dashcam videos all over the internet, it's that "cut me off" doesn't mean what a majority of people think it means.
