Yup in the box provided for them, because mine are totally indoors. Living near a main road plus having packs of coyotes in my neighborhood, no way I'm letting them out

So you were making a left, from hopefully the left-most travel lane / turn lane. Vehicles were behind you, and the clown that hit you attempted to pass you all in a lane for on-coming traffic?

    Glad you are okay.

BTW, I wouldn't want that truck back...

Yup, that's exactly what happened. I will update this thread with the outcome.

Wow. There should be no doubt who's at fault.
Someone shouldn't have passed Driver's Education... What was that driver supposed to do if there WAS on-coming traffic??

What did the police say at the scene?

UPDATE: Truck is totaled and above party at fault’s policy limits. Her insurance company values it at about $10K more than I purchased it for new. However, because the claim is beyond policy limits, it is now in my insurance company’s hands to value it all over again. I pulled my few mods and my factory tonneau off of it this morning. I have lined up a 2022 TRD Pro 6MT for delivery 9/21, but may wait for 2023s for the new Solar Octane color. Don’t know if my insurance company will value it less than Geico did. We’ll see. It is going to be a long time before final resolution.

Well, when you think it's easy, it's not easy.

Best of luck. At least you got the new ride sourced already...
Way things are going, you could probably take the '22, and trade for the '23 when that ship comes in...

I'm surprised that you were allowed to remove stuff off the truck.

that's not that odd. when my car was totaled, i asked about the sound system. they told me, all they need is for the car to be 100% complete. so it was. i yanked all my gear, even the cabling(to re-use in the replacement), and dumped the oem gear in the passenger seat. non-functional, but everything to make it work existed within the confines of the car...

Maybe it varies by state, but in that case of being above her limit what happens. Does hers pay up to limit and yours take over?

I've heard different things, haven't had to deal with it yet. In this particular case since it's above limit, my argument would be that

My guess is that her insurance company pays the max on the policy, then it will depend on what type of insurance the owner of the totaled vehicle has. If he has uninsured motorist / under-insured motorist coverage, I believe that would pick up the difference.

That would be the logical process yes. Or perhaps the individual is subject to a lawsuit for the difference, I'd imagine that could be done either way
