So I've got a 2011 tx pro that's been de-badged. I've been playing with the idea of adding the new trd pro badges to the truck. What do you guys think? I mean my truck is technically a pro ain't it?

You could add TRD SPORT badges for all you want. It's exactly like you said..YOUR truck.

I just hate being "that guy".... not that anybody would know the difference between a tx pro and the newer pros (besides this website lol)

Although there are differences, yours is a PRO, technically. I, for one, am always a fan of the "OE upgrade" look. Like Corvette brakes on a 4th gen Camaro, big brake kits painted/badged to look as if they came on the car, vette wheels on a Camaro, etc. Stuff that would make the average person wonder if it was a rare factory option. I also enjoy the "updated OE" look, like an older car updated to newer stuff from the same model (c5 vette with c6 wheels, for example).

So based on that, I think it would be cool. They're good looking badges.

EDIT: Worth looking into...having a custom TRD Pro badge made that says "TX PRO" in the same style. Then you're not "that guy," and you still get the good look of the new badge. Could probably be done at a decent price, maybe even similar to the cost of a brand new OE one.

For a while there was a guy at my local ski resort who had a big bruiser Cummins with a huge steel front bumper that looked like it came off a train. He had "I WILL RAM YOU" stamped in it backwards LOL..

I saw a truck in AZ with Chevy, Ford, Dodge, Toyota, and GMC badges on all four sides. Whatever floats your goat.

The thing is. People that have no clue about trucks dont know the difference between a PRO and a access cab 4 cylinder 2 door so they wont be impressed, where as actual Tacoma aficionados will think you are a poser.

See this was the hold up for me. Most people aren't gonna know the difference but I would know and just like everybody on this website would know it's not the 2015 or up pro.

But just like mentioned above the tx pro and the tx Baja trucks later became the pro models

Anybody got any ideas where I could get the custom badges made

The tx pro was a dressed up trd off-road. It came from the factory with the trd faux beadlocks, different bed-decals, trd stainless steel exhaust tip, and the full trd exhaust

    Not even close...

TXPro is simply a TRD Off road with a cat back and simulated bead locks.

TRD PRO actually has suspension upgrades, then things like color matched handles, hood scoop, color matched mirrors etc.

The pro is just the progression of the tx series. 1st was the tx and tx pro. Then came the tx Baja which got a different suspension setup, and now we have the pro. Honestly I would like to have some tx pro badges in the style of the trd pro badges but idk where to get them.

I'm coming from the cummins forums where you see 2nd and 3rd gen trucks wearing 4th gen badges. So that's where the ideas came from

    Nope....

TX Pro and Tx Baja were sold at identical times.

My bad, thought the Baja came afterwords

Honestly I want some tx pro badges done in the style of the pro badges

Similar to what the powerstroke guys are doing with 7.3 badges that look like the newer 6.7 badges.

Just cant find anybody doing custom badges that have any decent reviews

billetbadges.com does tons of custom emblems. I'd contact them, they may be able to mock something up for you
