    For a salvage title truck with high mileage you shouldn’t have paid more than 7k

    OME and worth every penny.
    The mileage is pretty good actually. It is old already though. I would check about the headgaskets. Some didn't die. Lots did. 100K miles is about average.

    Salvage titled vehicles are a hit and miss. I have no issue buying salvage title vehicles as cheap beaters but not sure about a $10k vehicle that is my main mode of transportation with wife and kiddos. They are very difficult to sell and fully insured. I would have more peace of mind having it inspected by a frame shop versus your own mechanic. Salvage titled vehicles are usually deemed a total loss by the insurance so frame damage is likely.
