I have an opportunity to buy a Ranch Sierra Topper for my 3rd Gen DCSB Taco for $700. Seems like a good deal but the keys for the t-locks are missing and I would like to paint to match, add roof racks, and add interior lights. Is it still with the savings after all that?

Anything that protects your gear from rain, theft, blowing away or otherwise gone is a good thing. I'd buy it. Abuse it, paint it and if I screw it up, I've saved at least a stack.
