Replacing everything worn, broken, and rusted.
All stock here 'cept for LEDs, aftermarket stereo and fog lights. No sin transgressed.

Stock enthusiasts would cry if they saw my 04 when I got it back in 2016, 24k miles and basically looked like it was time warped here off the showroom floor in 2004  Not at all like that now

It's your truck, your money and your opinion that matters

I understand and respect every ones opinion on stock vs modifications. If anything, I may replace those original nasty scratched up dented steel wheels with Toyota chrome wheels (period correct of course). That way I could still pull off, "Yes, it's completely original." But if it's a potential buyer I'll come clean since that's not on the window sticker.

Just as a jab to myself, when I purchased my new to me 2016 Harley Davidson Ultra Limited last year ($18,600 with only 1024mi) I couldn't wait to make changes: Rinehart Headers, RCX Mufflers, Screaming Eagle Stage One Air Box kit, TTS Mastertune tuner with Dyno, Custom Dynamics LED blinkers, tailights, FillerZ lights, HD trunk organizer, HD saddlebag carriers. Almost went with new Andrews cams also but didn't. Another $2700 more out the starting gate. So yeah, mods are always in the eyes of the beholder. Do your thing and enjoy it!

Wet Okoles, bed mat, floor mats, 265/75-16 tires, diff breather mod, billet TRD battery clamp, anytime fog lights, Husky front mud flaps, Relentless Fab tailgate reinforcement. Not mods - enhancements. Happy as a clam.

When stock suspension costs almost as much as a small lift to replace, is it a modification? Or is it tastefully upgraded?

Stocky McStocker here...my only mods are cosmetic and easily reversible, a few minutes each and no tools.

Stock these trucks will go most places.
With aftermarket parts they also look awesome. It’s a win win situation.

The only non-cosmetic upgrade done to my current truck is the TCF Bed Stiffeners. Did that, as I had corners crack on my ‘06, and wanted to be proactive. No other reason to change from stock for me.

Stock 4x4 Tacos are very capable trucks, they’ll get you most places any other 4x4 will get you and maybe further stock or not. It’s your personal property, you do or don’t do to it what ever you want. Who gives a crap what others think? Personally I look at some of these moded out trucks and think what a waste of $$$ and time. But it ain’t my truck so I really don’t care. So just do what makes you happy, don’t worry what others think.

Stock for me ,cept for a few cosmetic accessories. Biggest change was aftermarket grill to replace that crappy oval 'yota logo. I will not be considering any performance upgrades like lifting / tires etc...
I like the truck they way it functions now. I was pretty happy with the truck the way it came off the lot.

Pretty much up to the individual. If I had to leave any of my vehicles stock I would probably be in a straight jacket within a month. Other than when a new model comes out I don't usually give a stock truck of any kind a second look. As I said its up do the individual and I am not the individual you need to please nor is "pretty much" any one else
