I mistakenly picked up some gear oil for my 84 Toyota PU, when I got ready to change the fluid I noticed it was for limited slip differentials will this be OK to use in my none limited slip rear end and transfer case? I was told that it was perfectly ok to use it and that the only difference between limited slip and non limited slip fluid was that the limited slip had better "cling" properties than the regular stuff. Any advice will be helpful. Thanks BR

You'll be fine. I don't even think you can buy mobil1 gear oil that doesn't already have friction modifier in it.
