got a quote to do my bed over the rails for $414 for regular line-x...it's +$179 for "xtra" in black, which adds Kevlar reinforcement. they tell me it's a popular upgrade.

who has experience with line-x xtra? is the added durability worth it?

    thanks in advance!

Personally I have not done the X-tra line-X, but I did the regular Line-X over the rails and it's still pretty dark. Also what you have to remember No line-X wil stay completely black forever. Here is a current pic of my truck. The Line-X was sprayed a year and a half ago, and the truck has sat outside 24-7 in the hot Texas sun last year.

They are offering a $25 coupon on the Xtra (or what the website is calling "Premium") if you enter the sweepstakes they're having..

Yes! It is only $100 more and resists fading. I got regular line x a year ago and it's faded already.

I have just regular line-x in my bed for 11 years now. Even with a topper on the truck 99% of the time it's faded to a light gray.

Not to mention it's stained to hell pretty bad.

I don't know much about the added benefits of the "xtra" (will it never fade or stain? doubt it) but if it's worth the extra $180 I say do it. 10 years from now you'll have forgotten about that extra money but if your line-x is still looking really fresh, you'll be pysched
