To answer the OP , yes , MGM is hard to keep looking clean unless your truck never leaves pavement , then it's difficult to keep clean

I think any of the darker colors have that problem.
13 years with a silver taco and always liked how it don't really show the dirt and salt.
Since I was getting a new truck I really wanted it to feel new, which meant a new color. Love the blue ribbon when clean, but living in New Hampshire on a dirt road . . . .
Darker colors are also hotter in the summer. Really noticed that when I was strapping down my kayak - practically seared the skin on my arms when I touched the roof.

So true, White is like 10 degrees cooler. White with blackout looks great. My next Tacoma Pro will probably be a white one.

My MGM isn't that hard to keep clean based on my idea of clean. I'm also very anti-chrome. MGM doesn't show nearly as much dirt or as many scratches than my last Tacoma which was black. If a clean vehicle is a primary interest of yours, recommend not getting a Tacoma. It's a truck.

I think if your this worried about keeping it clean, your truck will most likely stay clean whatever color you choose get what you want.

I love my new truck but miss my Tacoma
^^^ This!!! But I think white is just flat out boring!

I have a MGM truck. Love the color. I bought it in '08 when the '09s first came out. Honestly it's not a bad color to keep clean. Regular dirt/dust does not really show up. Pollen is the worst and drives me crazy but that is true on almost every color.

My MGM is pretty easy to keep clean. It isn't as easy to keep clean as my silver one was, but that's to be expected.

I currently have a 13 sport white withe over 60k. I do a lot of driving for work and will be getting a new one once I hit 90k. My next taco will be MGM, the reason for this is every rock chip stands out on the white and drives me nuts. My brother has a first gen tundra in MGM and his looks much better.

When I was looking for my truck I wanted white first but the dealership couldn't come up with one like I wanted but had a MGM coming in. I'm more than happy with it now. Yes it shows dust and dirt but ever since I worked at a carwash I was the vehicles once a week.

I have owned (2) Super white Tacomas and I currently own an mgm Camry and a silver Camry.

White looks great and stays clean long, unfortunately it doesn't hold up well later in life. I heard that it is because SW is the only color that the color and the clear is mixed and its not a true 2 stage paint job. Mixing them together does not give the same UV protection as a 2 stage system and will allow it to break down as time goes on. My 2006 was eventually repainted because the paint on every surface facing the sun went flat and chalky. Other than that it looked great and didn't show dirt or chips, road tar does however show easy. The repaint was a 2 stage paint job and it looked shiner than ever.

The MGM color holds up well but will show chips and dirt easy. Stains such as bird dirt left unattended and tree sap will leave their mark. Your vehicle will be hotter when sitting in the parking lot in the summer.

Black... as many said, never again! I had 2 vehicles that were black, I swore never again after the first, I was dumb enough to challenge my first instinct a second time. A friend of mine recently bought a '14 black Tacoma, he swept the snow off of the truck this winter with a broom (who does that) and did permanent damage to the paint, he waxed it in the sun (again, who does that) and he has a waxy mess on his hands, he also has door dings from careless near parkers that show easily.

If you're asking about it, it means it's important to you that the truck looks somewhat clean. I would say go for the white if those are the 2 options. I have the silver streak mica (which they no longer offer) and it is my second in that colour. I love how the silver hides dirt and even scratches. I really wanted the green but stuck with the silver. No regrets.

I also find there are a tonne of MGM tacomas on the toad. Maybe that's just around here.

The only gripe I have about white is it shows the dead bugs on the front of the truck pretty badly. I'm not so great about washing the truck, however...

I live up a dusty dirt road and I had the same worry, but to my surprise it doesn't get as dirty as I thought. For me it also hides the dirt a lot better than I expected!

Liked black by far the best, but I had porters at the Dealership to keep it clean. But when I retired and lost the perks I bought white for me and a Sienna in white for wife. So much easier to keep clean and cooler in Texas.

I have the mag grey, no problems with keeping it looking good, of course I clean it almost every day.
I also wanted the white until I saw that grey.

I went from a black F150, never again will I buy one black.
This grey is just light enough not to show the dirt and scratches like the black or dark colors will do.
I wipe off all tree sap, bugs, and dirt every day, just use some quick detailer.

I have a BSP (209) truck and it is impossible to keep clean. I gave up.
My Scion tC is MGM (1G3) and hides the dirt a LOT better. It's still visible though...
IMO the BEST color for hiding the dirt & scratches is Silver Streak Mica (1E7)
that color looks clean no matter what. It is also very easy to touch up.
