You are correct sir. They simply do not exist, would be awesome to own one though.

my 2015 corola s+ is keyed and im glad it is. even the best of us can stall on occasion and being able to bump the clutch while still rolling and have it catch is a lifesaver to prevent embarrassing situations. Also i also had a 2005 corolla xrs. tuned and full bolt ons. loved that car

@devinzz1: yeah that yamaha motor could sing all day long man. its one of the cars i do regret selling. whats funny was how i ended up scoring that car. one of my dads tenants was more than a few months behind on the rent and he had this car just sitting for whatever reason (dude was a honda cat.) one day i went to my dads house and seen the car in the back of the house doing nothing. told him i would buy that from him for 1500 and take care of all the back tax on the vehicle lol. used it as a daily for a couple years, not one issue.

Here is the VIN.5TFCZ5AN2LX238633 Maybe somebody can run it and confirm. Their dealer website has it listed as a manual as well.

The OR AC MT sell super quick - took me 6 months to locate mine; i passed on one that was a rust bucket and lost out on 2 b/c by the time the listing was public, they were gone..

I was watching auto/trader like a neurotic fool and the one I found was listed incorrectly on the for sale advert.
It was listed as a Sport but when I ran the VIN, I got the real deal so I called the dealer and had them verify the locker.

He said I was lucky b/c I called about 30min before about 6 other people - he was honorable/straight with me & held if for me/let me come the next AM b/c they were 3hr away; but he said if I wasn't there by noon, it would be GONE
When I got there, he said he had another bunch of calls that mornin'

They also said that since I called when I did and saw the price I did [20K for a 2013 OR/AC/MT with 52K miles in great shape], they would sell it to me for that, but if I didn't take it - the price was going up b/c they had priced it wrong, not realizing it was an OR..
Again I appreciated them being straight with me b/c they clearly had the power in the situation..

I have found other cars like this - most memorably a few M3's back in the day - use the VIN decoder and catch a break when the lister makes an error.

I think they are just lazy or stupid . . and those are good gaps for attentive shoppers to take advantage of!

Nice work getting in on that one!

I am joking when I say that they sit around. I'm pretty sure they move quickly here also in most every case.

    Why not both? :D

I bet shitty listing like that may even drive traffic?

I have super love for the E36 3 series coupe, had 3 over the past 25 years, miss my 328is dearly, & would give almost anything to have her back..
Exploiting those erroneous listings is how I got some great cars, at some stellar prices over the years -

The VIN decoder is my bestie when auto shopping b/c looking for a manual in the US, is not an easy task and I am picky - I wanna know where the vehicle has been etc..

    ~
they could be both, i was just trying to not entirely throw them under the bus...
why? IDK b/c dealers usually suck. .
When i was looking, one dealer had a 3rd gen AC OR listed as a MT - drove me nuts b/c it wasn't real and I asked them to correct it and they didn't for months at least..

I feel like those kinds of mistakes are kinda easy to make when you are dealing with a large volume of vehicles.
Unless you run the VIN, they are trusting whatever paperwork they got and/or just plugging it all in to the listing - people in general are lazy and most are stupid so there is lots of room for overlap in that ven diagram..

It is certainly a lot of work to manage a lot of constantly shifting cars. The funny part of it is how many of those folks just don't care about cars / trucks. They have other motivations that don't get into the details that we need. :D

So we clearly love our vehicles - -
But it does totally blow my mind when I know more details than alot of the sales folks..
Even at the BMW dealership, I would run circles around them re: autos + features + issues..
I guess I thought that if you sell cars for a living, you would at least have slightly more knowledge base - but their focus is a tad different than mine.

I thought that if folks engineered something, that they would love it also. Folks working at a/c manufacturers don't love aircraft. Same with some folks at that automakers. Completely bewilders me.

I know that folks can get excited about the small thing that they're working on, but how can they do it when there's no passion on the macro level?

    Of course, I'm wired weirdly.
