So i've had my 2014 for a few yrs now....my Dad bought the truck brand new....at the time, I had a 1st Gen, 2004 Double Cab TSS, sport series.....well, we ended up trading trucks in 2018...I got the 2nd gen with 9000 miles on it...anyways, it is a Texas Edition 2WD Prerunner....i've been asked a few times if it is an SR5 Prerunner...I have no clue....it isn't badged as an SR5...is there a way to tell..or is the non badged SR5 a sure fire signal that it isn't? I've been recently offered $24,600 for it, it has less than 50K miles

SR5 trucks came with painted fender flares and a chrome grille and rear bumper so that’s an easy way to tell

Gotcha...yeah, there is no chrome on mine...the badging was chrome...i do have upgraded wheels, leather wrapped steering wheel...back up cam, non JBL...non painted fender flares and grill/bumper. I have a 2 tone interior as well. seems like it does have some upgraded features that an SR5 would come with interior wise.

Reason I ask all this, is I want to put some bedside decals on it, and no one really makes just a Prerunner decal, found one set on eBay, but I don't like it. The only ones I can find say SR5 Prerunner....sounds silly, but I don't want to put a decal that says SR5 if it isn't an SR5...lol

If it's not a base (crank windows, manual locks, etc) and not a TRD Sport/OffRoad then yes most likely it's an SR5.

Essentially there's 4 basic trim levels for 2nd gens (5 if you count the 2015 TRD PRO), base/SR, SR5, TRD Sport, and TRD OffRoad.

They are all SR5’s except the base models. The Trd models are just packages added on top

The TSS package was a gulf states Toyota package that was added by the distributor onto an SR5 truck. It was just some trim and wheels

Below are all the factory packages that you could get from Toyota in 2014. TSS package was not offered by Toyota from the factory. @TacoMTga is correct that they were all SR5's with additional dealer installed accessories offered by gulf states Toyota. I also linked a You Tube video that shows a 2014 TSS Tacoma.
