    Just read the May '15 issue of QST today. Page 35-36 had an article about newer vehicle wiring and stated to connect radio hot to battery positive like normal, but install fused negative to the chassis ground point instead of the battery due to all the electronics in the newer vehicles. Haven't done it this way before, just passing along what I read. 73, W0ZM

    That is how my yaesu is setup currently - i am using a fused ground connected to one of the big chassis grounding points by the battery. But glad to hear that is done right not not likely a problem...

    The electrons do not know the difference between positive or negative fusing (or switching).
