I have a 2001 2.7 4x4 and having some weird issues. I also have a ultra gauge and noticed my temp only reaches 167 at night(50 degrees) during the day my temp reaches 174(88 degrees).
Here is the weird part. When temp is in the mid 170's my truck idles fine but the fan clutch is on all the time.
when the truck is in the mid 160's the fan is off but idles weird.
I have replaced the ect sensor and thermostat.

I think my fan clutch is partially stuck on keeping my temps low effecting my idle. What temp should my truck run at on the ultra gauge?
