Nope. You're well past the window of getting a new frame and Toyota will not do anything. If your tech has only seen one like this, he's obviously not from the rust belt. Sorry.

That is one seriously neglected frame that has lived in salt or brine world.

Rest assured there is more rust elsewhere you just haven't found.

Toyota will do nothing now, you are well past the 12 years since 1st use date.

A clean southern frame if you have skills, time, space and tools to DIY is an option.

Parting out the rest of the truck is an option, again if you have the skills, time, space and tools. Also a local 'market' of parts buyers, because most parts you're not going to want to mess with shipping

Sorry for your loss. Be sure to give your replacement lots of preventative love.

Your best option is a southern frame I found this one in Mississippi a couple of weeks ago and I'm gonna be swapping the frame this winter after I do some welding on the new one, weld where the 2 pieces of C channel are riveted together completely shut and paint the frame with POR15 and then treat it with fluid film every fall. Only spot of rust on the new frame is on the driver side in front of the shock tower and it's just surface rust, but the rest of the frame damn near looks new

It's a wonder someone doesn't snag those golden chains to expand their Mr T starter set.

Avoid any Corvette groupings at coffee shops or breakfast houses. :D

PS, on topic, looks like a great frame score!

I would use this opportunity to start searching for a new truck. Swapping frames is great and I applaud those who do it. Certainly cheaper than new car payments. But if rest of truck is good and you have space on you property...I'd part out the truck, scrap the frame and use any funds collected to put towards a down payment on something new(er).

That's also a good plan. For my case a frame swap is my best/only option. Can't afford a car payment and my truck isn't my DD so I can take my time and get it done right and also make some improvements while it's torn apart. If I could afford another 2nd gen I would've gone that route and just swap everything over and keep what I can use for spare parts and sell/scrap the rest
