That's why I have stayed on these forums. I originally came just to pose a question about some perceived issues with my truck. Everyone has been so great that I stayed

I find this hard to believe, the only lesser model there is is the SR and SR5 which are priced about 10k less than a Sport/OR/Pro/Limited.

All the models can be pretty much equiped the same, the only thing the limited really gets is 18" wheels, Homelink and some chrome when its all said and done.

A "lesser model" can be more equipped than a limited. I cna sya that I would take an OEM locker over homelink anyday

I live in Edmonton Canada. Your welcome to check out where I bought it. It was at toyotaonthetrail. They still have other used on there and you’ll see the limited is cheaper.

    Cheaper than what?

    2018 SR5 is 42k, 2018 Limited is 51k.

Do you mean you got a 2016 Limited cheaper than a 2018 SR5?

when I was at the dealer they told me the limited only comes in a dclb. also asked about dcsb and they said those are the only ones offered in a manual. not sure if I should believe the salesmen who just reads brochures all day but seeing how a lot of people don't want a dclb or are die hard manual users then the limited trim would not be a popular choice.

Yup that sounds right. The OR and Limited are basically the same depending on how the OR is equipped but an SR can't be equipped the same.

He bought a 2016 so I'm trying to understand what he's referring to.

Lolololololol. That’s how I feel right now only I’m double guessing all my purchases due to my pathetic shoestring budget.

Think I’m gonna go with a set of cheap used 16” Toyota rims and the 255/85r16

    Then sell my limited rims.

As far as wheeling the long bed goes, the only real problem is going to be tight turns. The breakover angle can be improved with a lift and a slight lift on the DCLB Tacoma's looks amazing. The difference between long and short not super noticeable in stock form either. I went from a lifted 2 door 2008 Jeep Wrangler to a DCLB TRD Off Road Taco and even in stock form, I haven't noticed any game breaking difference in clearance for what I do. I hope to see pictures of your truck when you get the tires you want on it.

I was till someone told me that they don’t fit without modding.

I might do a small lift on the front but still trying to figure out everything I wanna do and in what order.

Pics for 100% sure when I get a few things done.

The Limited is the right trim for me but I’m happy that others have different use cases and need different trim levels. They’re all good! Just depends on what your specific needs are. Enjoy it!
