Is my overload spring upside down?

I recently purchased this 2000 tacoma and i am thinking the previous owner flipped the overload spring for some reason...what do you guys think? I am removing the blocks from the rear and i am trying to figure out what they have done to the leafs. Both overloads look exactly the same, i just don't see anyway they could bend the overload that far backwards. To me it looks as if they obviously flipped it.

 

It looks sideways to me.

Wow, glad you guys are here. I was seriously seconds away from trying to flip it earlier lol. Anyway, another member pointed out to me they appear to have negative arching in them. I bought the truck for a cheap truck to have for several years and really don't wanna put new leafs in it...any ideas to correct or help with the problem of them being worn out possibly? I have a set of helper air bags for the rear i haven't put on. Don't know if they could substitute for the leafs in some way?

 

If they're shot, replacement is usually the best option. If not completely shot, an could extend them a bit.

Thanks, once i get the blocks out i guess ill take a look and decide if they are shot or not.

 

Take the leafs to a suspension shop to be re-arched f

 

While that's an option, the stock leafs are not known for their strength or durability. IMO, the better option is to ditch them for a better, more long-lasting option. Obviously, YMMV.
