Every now and then when I put my truck in reverse it loses vacuum pressure and the RPMs drop down to about 400 and the truck almost cuts off unless I give it gas. I know this inst normal but I just need to know whats going on.

No it doesnt do it in reverse and No Ive only been offroad once I like to keep my truck clean and in a decent shape not those guys that bang it out offroad lol but It only does in reverse like it looses vacuum pressure the gear isnt slipping or anything its just the vacuum drops alot and rpms drop below 500 like something isnt seal off good doesnt feel like theres any problems with the trans it self just the vacuum.

How do you tell if the intake vacuum is dropping? Do you have an aftermarket gauge in the dash?

I think it just the seal, its not the whole trans cause why would reverse be the only gear that drops to low idle and all the other gears shift just fine if the trans was going out im pretty sure that if the trans is going out I would have problems with the others gears aswell
