Why are all the totaled posts such dumpster fires?

The two times we've used the insurance preferred shops the work sucked. Last two times we went where we wanted and like the shop.

I got a 2018. I should have never gotten rid of my 2012 as it never had nothing happen to it, not even a bumper dent in 125k.

A person in my state can go anywhere they want and the insurance has to pay.

seriously they are. Im glad the guy that looked at mine totaled it right away without even having the collusion guys look at it, granted my frame was buckled from being rear ended and damage everywhere on the truck from going into a ditch. valued the truck at 21,744 and it was just an sr5 4x4, baby crawled out just fine on her own tho. very proud father moment, Good luck on fighting that fight tho

Yeah would have done the same if I was the adjuster. Glad you didn’t have an idiot trying to fix this thing :)

Honestly though People here are so ignorant makes me sick. Know this, your insurance can total the car for any reason if they choose to do so. When/if you’re going to be a dick to an adjuster is a perfect time to write off your shit lol. In fact it’s an insentive to total your car and move on. Last thing I’d want/need is to spend endless hours on calls get a bad survey and deal with cry babies at the shop or the client over after market or recycled parts. Lots of people I met believe they are somehow entitled and those are the worse. Most don’t have a clue what their policy even reads and they would argue with you until they turn blue. Those that actually listen to an advice get help and I would go out of my way for them, the rest of the crowd could go kick rocks And look for another car.

It doesn’t look too bad but if it has diamond mash or sway condition shop will take insurance to town.

$7000? Lol wow not sure if that’s a good thing or bad. My wife got in a 5mph accident that resulted in two dented doors; no other damages. AAA insurance sent us a $2700 check for the repairs plus another $700 to replace the two car seats.

If we wanted to we could keep it as is and picket the cash.

This is the standard way for cars to be transported in Co-part lots, find a yard that isn't secured and just watch them for 30 minutes, they typically bring the cars that are going up for auction that week up to the front gate for buyers to inspect so you should see them moving cars. The worst damage I have seen is a pinched exhaust tube, if you don't want the pickup pocket the 7k and post it up for sale with the insurance estimated quote.

I drove by. I saw that Chevy Cruz first and was like holy hell what did she hit? Then I saw your truck off to the right. You took one hell of a hit man. How the hell did that happen? Were you stopped for the light and she corn holed you? Did she even hit her brakes?

Too many trucks and mods to list.. check builds
Eh I know it probably doesn’t damage much. But the 3 accidents my Rolla has been in they’ve tried towing it to yards, but me and my father have politely declined and driven it each time.. 2 times were damn near totalled. If it ever got taken to the yard I would of pushed for it to be totalled. I’m not a fan of other people touching my cars, but I’m weird lol

So i was decelerating speed coming off the ramp and she corn holed the fuck outa me and i went flying into that little dirt ditch, I didn't even have time to react let alone try and dodge her, as soon as i saw the car in my rear view i was flying. Yeah it didn't feel like she hit her breaks or heard anything. Nobody came to even check on me either. I could've been bleeding out for all they knew. Some young girl most likely on her phone. In a 3rd gen now and pursuing more legal actions.

I would have stopped, but the authorities were already there. Glad you are OK. You took one hell of a hit.

I do not disagree with you on that, but sometimes that is not an option unfortunately.
