Seems like it moved 2 spots after I turned the crank 2 times

Assuming your yellow paint lines with the dots, yes.

Did you have the chain completely off? Or just a sprocket?

They are not in their original chain links anymore after 2 or 3 crankshaft turns....
This was the original before i did anything.

Hmm my picture shows wrong, @Dm93 or @TnShooter can you share the repair manual timing chain assembly?

It looks like they are off one tooth.

The marks on the chain will not be in the same place after the engine is rotated, they are there for initial timing setup only.

All my marks are lining up. Just can't look at the crank mark because I didn't take the cover off.

If your marks all line up like they are supposed to then your timing should be correct.

The balancer is also called the crank pulley.
On most vehicles, there is a mark on the crank pulley and timing cover.
Line them up and you are on TDC (or 180 out).

I don’t know if the 1gr has those marks. I never looked. (Yet)
