    Agreed. Something looks fishy there.

In the first pic, the lower portion of the flare doesn't seam to line up as it should.

In the 2nd shot of the rear, the TRD Off Road decal looks slanted.

    More information on the purchase?

For me its a work truck, I'm gonna abuse it. I can tell it was well kept by the previous owners. I mean every oil change recipet is in the glovebox, no work has ever been done by anyone other than Toyota. The particular model was supposed to have come with painted flares, but, they were never prepped. The paint has no adhesion to the flares.

I can tell the truck was always this color (its obvious unless someone did a tear-down paint-job) I can tell it was never severely wrecked (Carfax and my own inspections) I knew going into this deal that I had at least one paint chip. But it got bad after the gravel roads and 1-40/45/35/25 and 10 drive.... Then I made it worse because I was trying to see how easily it would come off in the pressure washer.

Like I said not too worried, as I'll get it painted next week. It just sucks that it looks like that. I'm just trying to figure out if it came like that or not.

Like the guy down the street from me has a Taco with black bumpers and fender flares, and it looks to be the same material as what mine looks like through the paint. I would think it should have been sanded at least. It obviously was never sanded.

At least it is just located on those plastic pieces. Should be an easy fix...plastic parts are always painted with crap that allows the paint to flex and adhere to those types of surface areas. Or you could always get a set of aftermarket flares, still would be matt black tho.

It is, Just a quick spray. I'll probably take the pieces off so I can still have the truck while its being painted. I was just upset at how bad it got.

I'm spending a little extra to have all four done, just so I want have this problem again so soon.
