Is replacing the factory JBL speakers worth it?

Guy's traded a couple of months back for 2020 Taco with a JBL sound system. My 2012 I traded in had a Pioneer double din pushing 2 Rockford Fosgate P400's through 8 JBL speakers and a Kicker sub. While this new truck doesn't sound as good as my old truck it does sound reasonably ok. (Android auto Bluetooth another story) I'm going to be adding some sound deadening in the next couple of weeks. And thought while into the doors I might change out the factory JBL speakers. I'm not adding an amp or changing anything else. I searched this site and checked YouTube and found quite a bit of information on changing out the non JBL speakers. But not so much on replacing the factory JBL speakers. My question is. Are the factory JBL speakers much better than the non factory JBL? Has anyone changed out the factory JBL's? And was it worth it?

No, not worth replacing unless you’re upgrading the amp as well.
They’re all cheap parts (speakers, amp, etc) but they’re tuned to work well together. New speakers will be thicker and heavier, so the amp won’t be able to drive them as well and you will lose some volume. I’d save up and do it all at the same time if you plan on doing it

    -PAC AmpPro
    -all 6 speakers
    -amp
    -new sub

My experience, change the factory Toyota speakers as soon as possible! Once you get them out of there and actually see them, you’ll know you made the right choice. As far as sound deadening, I just did roof, floors, doors (both inside skins) and back. Entire truck took 3 boxes of 36sq ft Metra Ballistic Bulk pack. Absolutely no “tinny” sound anywhere on this truck. This seemed like a good place to start while installing the sound system. Did both upgrades simultaneously since the truck was stripped.

How much do you think you used on just the floor? I already did the doors, roof and back wall. Only the floor is left.

1 box of 36 sq ft should be plenty
